So today I travelled up to Birmingham on the train with my friend, to do some shopping in the Bullring and grab lunch! I managed to buy a few nice items.
Worcester to Birmingham is only 50 minutes on the train. After we got there, we headed straight to the Moocha stand to grab a bubble tea - it was my friends first experience trying it, and seeing her reaction when she sucked up a tapioca ball was hilarious.
Then we cracked on with the shopping! We wandered around the Bullring for a while, nipping in to shops every now and then, but the one place I was desperate to get to was Selfridges.
I combed through the many makeup sections (Illamasqua, MAC, Chanel), until I found the two stands I was looking for - Urban Decay and Benefit.
I already had some products on my wishlist for this month, so I decided to bite the bullet and just buy them straight away. I bought the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and some Benefit products. I was originally going to buy the Porefessional primer alone, but the lady at the till advised me to buy the 'Little Love Potions' boxset, including small samples of many different products (which individually would have come to £73!!). It was only an extra £5, so I decided to buy the boxset, so I can sample the different products before I commit to buying a full product. I'll post a separate review of this boxset and the products inside.
We then headed to Boux Avenue, but feeling I'd left a bit of a dent in my bank account, I decided to try the sale rail in Ann Summers, which proved to be a good move as I managed to grab a deep purple/black lacy balcony bra for £11 down from £28!
After a few hours of wandering around the crowded Bullring, we decided it was time for lunch. Our intention was to go to Wagamamas, but the queue was out of the door and we were close to cannibalism, so we headed into Yo!Sushi. After many, many bowls of ramen, futomaki and teriyaki, we dragged ourselves back on to the train to head home (not before picking up a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts though!).
It's been a lovely day, and I'm looking forward to going back to Birmingham to do some more retail therapy in a few weeks!
